From pig Latin, to letter substitutions like the Caesar cipher, to 20th century examples like the Enigma machine and Navajo code talkers, codes and ciphers have been used in all sorts of ways. Whether you're a kid sending secret messages to friends, or a spy trying to keep important national secrets, knowing how to build a code can really come in handy! We'll learn a few famous codes, discover how codes and ciphers have changed history, and write a few coded messages of our own.
