Sometimes, you just want to stay inside on a rainy day and stream some movies and shows - but where to start? Book adaptations are fun ways to relax with a good book AND a good show, and right now, streaming services are full of them! Check out the list below of some popular adaptations for kids and middle grade, and check back in a couple weeks for a list for adults.

Children's and Middle Grade

  1. The Baby Sitters Club (Netflix)

    This informal picture book series shows all sorts of vehicles doing their jobs - everything from garbage trucks to school buses get a chance to show off exactly how proud they are to help people in their own special way.
  7. Where's Waldo (Peacock)
    The reader follows Waldo and other characters as they travel through various scenes and tries to find them and their lost objects in the illustrations.
  8. Cleopatra in Space (Peacock)
    When a young Cleopatra finds a mysterious tablet that zaps her to the far, REALLY far future, she learns of an ancient prophecy that says she is destined to save the galaxy from the tyrannical rule of the evil Xaius Octavian.
  9. Anne with an E (Netflix)
