Enjoy a fun surprise for beginning readers (Grades K-2) every month beginning in March! Each Early Bird Reader Bag contains a book to keep, a parent letter with activity suggestions, and a craft. Every month will have a different kid-friendly theme. March's theme will be the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems. 

To register for a bag, go to the Calendar of Events on the BCLS website beginning one month before bags go out. Our first bags will be available to pick up the week of March 1. Any bags not picked up by March 6 will go to the next person on the waiting list.

If the child has a food allergy, please let us know in the special notes section of the registration form. We may include a snack in these bags from time to time.  

Our Children's Department staff members are really excited about these bags and hope your beginning readers will love them! Everything in an Early Bird Reader Bag is yours to keep and the bags are free to sign up for! You will need to sign up for each month individually.
