Don't miss this chance to see visiting author and Bay City native Steve Adelman this Saturday, July 8 @ 2 p.m. at the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library. You can register here via our online events calendar, or feel free to drop in if you find yourself free on Saturday afternoon!
Steve Adelman’s humorous and engaging memoir Nocturnal Admissions: Behind the Scenes at Tunnel, Limelight, Avalon, and Other Legendary Nightclubs (Santa Monica Press) reflects on his years as the director and owner of some of the world’s most popular nightclubs, including the Roxy, Limelight, Tunnel, and Palladium in the heyday of clubs in New York City during the late 1980s and 1990s, followed by Avalon (Boston, Hollywood, NYC and Singapore locations), Spider Club and the New Daisy Theatre in Memphis in the 2000s.
Beginning in July, 2022 Adelman embarked on a book tour that has brought him to Boston, NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis where he discussed his experiences from the book and signed copies.
On Saturday, July 8, Steve Adelman will appear in person at the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library in Bay City, where he grew up. “Growing up in Essexville, attending Garber High School and Kalamazoo College, and now Iiving part-time in Union Pier, my life in Michigan certainly has had a large impact on my career in ways I could never have imagined, which is reflected in Nocturnal Admissions,” he notes.
Books will be for sale and can also be purchased at Leopard Print Bookstore in downtown Bay City, or ask for it at your favorite library branch!
